Inspired by philosopher Giorgio Agamben’s reflection on "what it means to be contemporary," Davide Valrosso has spent the last two years creating site-specific works focused on the biography and memory of the body. In his latest solo Who is Joseph?, he further develops this exploration through gestural figures that evoke a succession of striking visual images. Divided into three distinct choreographic sections—Threshold, Conflict, Resilience—the solo arises from the choreographer-performer’s desire to question the past, present, and future. The questions transform into gestures, giving voice to "that vivid silence" that underpins our contemporary reality.
The performance is paired with Luna Cenere's Zoé | appunti sulla nuda vita.
