Progetto Manifattura
Symphony #2 ''true and eternal bliss!'' + Dies Irae
World premiere | Co-produced by Oriente Occidente | In collaboration with Filarmonica Rovereto | EBA
Following the presentation of an excerpt from her work last year, Gloria Dorliguzzo returns with a new piece featuring a live orchestra set to the music of Galina Ustvolskaya, a radical voice of the 20th century capable of transforming sound into physical matter. Within an apparently non-melodic structure, there is pressure, impact, and resistance. A collective body organizes itself in space. Movement becomes a field of tension where music and body intertwine, and the voice is a fragile presence. Amidst blows, breaths, and suspensions, the sound persists. It passes through. It remains.
The group of performers participates in a workshop led by Gloria Dorliguzzo for non-professionals.
