Rami
You spoke to me through her. You spoke to me through the sky. The trees. Before I knew I loved you. Believed in you.
Deep roots sink into disconnected ground, where memories have taken shape over time. Twisted branches stretch toward the sky, holding traces of the past and turning them into shared knowledge.
On stage, a ritual unfolds: each body is like a tree, with its own lean, its own branching scars, memory carved into its bark. Movements settle into space like ancient traces, and through repetition they are offered to those present, evoking an archaic, popular dimension made of presence, listening, and deep echoes. The performers recognize each other in their shared humanity, support one another, and give life to a living, breathing whole.
It is through relationship that these individual forms intertwine into a collective practice that moves across time. Personal memory passes through the body, is revealed and offered, becoming collective, something that can be shared and transmitted.
RAMI is the public sharing of the project Ricordare, led by Carlo Massari and Filippo Porro with a group of non-professional participants over 65. A crossing point: a moment in which the process meets an external gaze without losing its organic, transformative nature.
