Valle di Sella Malga Costa

Présences désaccordées

Retouramont, the French company directed by Geneviève Mazin and Fabrice Guillot, returns to Val di Sella with its meticulous work dedicated to the relationship between body, nature, and aerial dynamics in contrast to gravity. After last year's Présences déracinées, Retouramont continues its journey of reflection on the "presence" of the dancer in the environment with the new project Présences désaccordées. This time, the "stations" along the path in Val di Sella will be six, bringing the audience into contact with a suspended and secret time. As always, spectators will be guided in their exploration of the location by a dialogue between movement and sound.

Four singer-instrumentalists will accompany the audience, creating a musical connection between the project's installations and the wild nature of Val di Sella. Chants and improvised compositions will create a sound universe that, the creators promise, "will range from whispers to explosions of sound, utilizing the forest as a formidable resonating chamber." Instrumental and vocal pieces, arising from the meeting of Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical repertoires and what nature suggests, will develop a living tapestry upon which the aerial dancers will rely to create their evolutions. Cello, percussion, wind instruments, and voice will accompany us into the mysterious world suggested by bodies immersed in the environment. Some will be hidden in a curious installation by Anton Shaller, some will appear suspended on light green hammocks, as if part of nature, some will move in a sort of spider web, or among tree trunks, and some will dance in the impressive Cattedrale Vegetale. An unprecedented journey through dance, music, and nature.
