Workshop rivolto a operatori e operatrici culturali

This workshop aims to provide cultural professionals with the tools and knowledge to create more impactful projects in the cultural sector. By sharing experiences working on international and multicultural projects, the workshop will inspire participants to take initiatives involving international collaboration. Additionally, participants will learn about the practical application of Impact Frameworks, particularly the Theory of Change (ToC), in cultural projects.

Objectives
  • To inspire participants to take initiatives involving international collaboration and the benefits of it.

  • To explain how large-scale international projects work and the benefits of international collaboration.

  • To provide tools and strategies for creating impactful cultural projects.

  • To introduce the use of the Theory of Change in cultural projects and its benefits.

  • Introduction and About the Trainer.

  • How Large-Scale International Projects Work: insights and examples from real projects.

  • Introduction to Theory of Change: what it is, how it works, and why it should be used.

  • Hands-on Creation of ToC for Participants' Projects: work on the project ToC, share and receive feedback.

  • Introduction to Logic Model: what and how it can be used.

Metodologia

The workshop will follow an exposition and participation approach. The lecture sessions will be conducted in English, while during the practical exercises, participants will be able to choose whether to communicate in English or Italian.

Materiale richiesto

Participants should have a project in development or already developed to work on during the workshop.

About the Trainer

Lorena Martínez Mier is a cultural manager and creative producer who uses art and culture to drive social change. With a solid practice in international cultural relations, she strongly advocates for inclusion and sustainability in all her endeavours. She has held leadership positions in institutions and independent organisations focused on festivals, culture, and arts. She has also collaborated on social impact and multi-arts projects, including her involvement in the Arts & Disability sector.

Her contributions in this field include producing artistic work, developing capacity-building programs, and establishing an Americas Network of Deaf and disabled artists and institutions. She is also a DEI consultant. Currently, she is the Consortium Project Manager of Europe Beyond Access - the most significant transnational project in the world supporting disabled and Deaf artists to break the glass ceilings of contemporary dance and theatre.
