The music concert is a dialogue, an emotional journey, a moving cross-cultural collaboration bridging the endangered intangible heritage of Nanyin traditional Chinese folk music (inscribed in the UNESCO list in 2009) with contemporary electronics. Following a period of 6 months of exchanges between the artists, in the stunning spaces of MART Museum, the slow, simple and elegant melodies of the “music from the South” of China, performed on distinctive instruments such as a bamboo flute and a crooked-neck lute, will merge with the practice of the electroacoustic improvisation.
A dialogue with the artists is planned at the end of the performance.
